Aspartame and MS & Lupus & Diabetes & other conditions

I had this sent to me from a friend of mine and found it shocking to say the least. I have copied it here just to share this information with you all.

SWEET POISON…A MUST READ and Worth the Read.

In October of 2001, my sister started getting very sick.  She had stomach spasms and she was having a hard time getting around. Walking was a major chore.  It took everything she had just to get out of bed; she was in so much pain.By March 2002, she had undergone several tissue and muscle biopsies and was on 24 various prescription medications.   The doctors could not determine what was wrong with her.   She was in so much pain, and so sick she just knew she was dying.

She put her house, bank accounts, life insurance, etc., in her oldest daughter’s name, and made sure that her younger children were to be taken care of.
She also wanted her last hooray, so she planned a trip to Florida (basically in a wheelchair) for March 22nd.

On March 19, I called her to ask how her most recent tests went, and she said they didn’t find anything on the test, but they believe she had MS.

I recalled an article a friend of mine e-mailed to me and I asked my sister if she drank diet soda?   She told me that she did.   As a matter of fact, she was getting ready to crack one open that moment.I told her not to open it, and to stop drinking the diet soda!   I e-mailed her an article my friend, a lawyer, had sent.   My sister called me within 32 hours after our phone conversation and told me she had stopped drinking the diet soda AND she could walk!  The muscle spasms went away. She said she didn’t feel 100% but, she sure felt a lot better.

She told me she was going to her doctor with this article and would call me when she got home.
Well, she called me, and said her doctor was amazed!  He is going to call all of his MS patients to find out if they consumed artificial sweeteners of any kind.   In a nutshell, she was being poisoned by the Aspartame in the diet soda… and literally dying a slow and miserable death.

When she got to Florida March 22, all she had to take was one pill, and that was a pill for the Aspartame poisoning!   She is well on her way to a complete recovery.  And she is walking!   No wheelchair! This arti cle saved her life.

If it says ‘SUGAR FREE’ on the label;   DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!   I have spent several days lecturing at the WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE on ‘ASPARTAME,’ marketed as ‘NutraSweet,’  ‘Equal,’ and  ‘Spoonful.’

In the keynote address by the EPA, it was announced that in the United States in 2001 there is an epidemic of multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus.  It was difficult to determine exactly what toxin was causing this to be rampant.   I stood up and said that I was there to lecture on exactly that subject.

I will explain why Aspartame is so dangerous:   When the temperature of this sweetener exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol in ASPARTAME converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis. Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants.   The methanol toxicity mimics, among other conditions, multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus.

Many people were being diagnosed in error.   Although multiple sclerosis is not a death sentence, Methanol toxicity is!
Systemic lupus has become almost as rampant as multiple sclerosis, especially with

Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi drinkers.

The victim usually does not know that the Aspartame is the culprit.   He or she continues its use; irritating the lupus to such a degree that it may become a life-threatening condition.   We have seen pat ients with systemic lupus become asymptotic, once taken off diet sodas. In cases of those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, most of the symptoms disappear. We’ve seen many cases where vision loss re turned and hearing loss improved markedly.

This also applies to cases of tinnitus and fibromyalgia.   During a lecture, I said,  ‘If you are using ASPARTAME (
Nutriara Sweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc) and you suffer from fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting, pains, numbness in your legs,
Cramps,
Vertigo,
Dizziness,
Headaches,
Tinnitus,
Joint pain,
Unexplainable depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss you probably have ASPARTAME poisoning!’   People were jumping up during the lecture saying, ‘I have some of these symptoms.  Is it reversible?’Yes!

Yes!
Yes!
STOP drinking diet sodas and be alert for Aspartame on food labels!   Many products are fortified with it!   This is a serious problem.   Dr. Espart (one of my speakers) remarked that so many people seem to be symptomatic for MS and during his recent visit to a hospice; a nurse stated that six of her friends, who were heavy Diet Coke addicts, had all been diagnosed with MS. This is beyond coincidence!Diet soda is

NOT a diet product! It is a chemically altered, multiple SODIUM (salt) and ASPARTAME containing product that actually makes you crave carbohydrates. It is far more likely to make you GAIN weight!

These products also contain formaldehyde, which stores in the fat cells, p arti cularly in the hips and thighs.   Formaldehyde is an absolute toxin and is used primarily to preserve ’tissue specimens.’

Many products we use every day contain this chemical but we SHOULD NOT store it IN our body!
Dr. H. J. Roberts stated in his lectures that once free of the

‘diet products‘ and with no significant increase in exercise; his pat ients lost an average of 19 pounds over a trial period.

Aspartame is especially dangerous for diabetics.   We found that some physicians, who believed that they had a pat ient with retino pat hy, in fact, had symptoms caused by Aspartame.   The Aspartame drives the blood sugar out of control.   Thus diabetics may suffer acute memory loss due to the fact that asp arti c acid and phenylalanine are NEURO TOXIC when taken without the other amino acids necessary for a good balance.Treating diabetes is all about BALANCE.   Especially with diabetics, the Aspartame passes the blood/brain barrier and it then deteriorates the neurons of the brain; causing various levels of brain damage,

Seizures,Depression, Manic depression, Panic attacks,Uncontrollable anger and rage.

Consumption of Aspartame causes these same symptoms in non-diabetics as well. Documentation and observation also reveal that thousands of children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD have had complete turnarounds in their behavior when these chemicals have been removed from their diet.

So called ‘behavior modification prescription drugs’ (Ritalin and others) are no longer needed.
Truth be told, they were never NEEDED in the first place!

Most of these children were being ‘poisoned’ on a daily basis with the very foods that were ‘better for them than sugar.’

It is also suspected that the Aspartame in thousands of pallets of
diet Coke and diet Pepsi consumed by men and women fighting in the Gulf War, may be p arti ally to blame for the well-known Gulf War Syndrome.Dr. Roberts warns that it can cause birth defects, i..e. mental retardation, if taken at the time of conception and during early pregnancy.   Children are especially at risk for neurological disorders and should NEVER be given arti ficial sweeteners.

There are many different case histories to relate of children suffering grand mal seizures and other neurological disturbances talking about a plague of neurological diseases directly caused by the use of this deadly poison.’
Herein lies the problem:   There were Congressional Hearings when Aspartame was included in 100 different products and strong objection was made concerning its use. Since this initial hearing, there have been two subsequent hearings, and still nothing has been done.

The drug and chemical lobbies have very deep pockets.Sadly, MONSANTO’S pat ent on Aspartame has EXPIRED!   There are now over 5,000 products on the market that contain this deadly chemical and there will be thousands more introduced.   Everybody wants a

‘piece of the Aspartame pie.’

I assure you that MONSANTO, the creator of Aspartame, knows how deadly it is.
And isn’t it ironic that MONSANTO funds, among others, the American Diabetes Association, the American Dietetic Association and the Conference of the American College of Physicians?

This has been recently exposed in the New York Times.   These [organizations] cannot criticize any additives or convey their link to MONSANTO because they take money from the food industry and are required to endorse their products.

Senator Howard Metzenbaum wrote and presented a bill that would require label warnings on products containing Aspartame, especially regarding pregnant women, children and infants.

The bill would also institute independent studies on the known dangers and the problems existing in the general population regarding seizures, changes in brain chemistry, neurological changes and behavioral symptoms.

The bill was killed.

It is known that the powerful drug and chemical lobbies are responsible for this, letting loose the hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting and uninformed public.

TalkTalk Offers Website Blocking

I am a TalkTalk customer and have been now for coming up 5 years and have just seen that in My Account section i have a new option called Home Safe which i think is a great idea especially as the account holder sets the settings on their account. (Any TalkTalk customers reading this, you will find this in your account section.)

What it allows you to do is set settings that help to protect you and your family whilst online, you can block websites infected with viruses. You can block social networking sites for say homework time for your children so they cannot get distracted. You can select settings to protect your kids from inappropriate websites.

At first when i heard that TalkTalk was following its customers around the websites they used gathering data i was annoyed, i do not like the idea of a corporation monitoring what i am doing but TalkTalk say that no user details are gathered just site information.

I guess if it helps protect the user and their kids then it has to be a good thing in the end. I wonder if other ISP’s will now follow this or may they have and i just do not know of it.

Does your ISP have anything like this?

Internet provider TalkTalk is to give customers the option of filtering malicious or offensive material out of their broadband service.

The company claims it is the first major ISP to offer centralised blocking at server level.

As well as stopping malicious software, parents will be able to prevent their children accessing adult material.

Security professionals have questioned whether the service will be able to react fast enough to new threats.

Smart scan

Conventional systems for blocking internet content rely on security software installed on users’ PCs.

TalkTalk’s Home Safe runs on the company’s central computer system and sits between the web and individual home connections.

Its anti-virus system works by scanning a site that someone wants to visit to see if it harbours malicious programs. Those found to be clean will be put on a “white list” for 24 hours.

A spokesman for TalkTalk said that the system was discriminating enough to be able to block individual adverts on web pages that were booby-trapped with malware but would still let a user interact with the rest of that page.

To make the system work, TalkTalk has to scan all websites that its users visit. However the company said that it does not record details that could identify individual customers, such as their IP address.

No pornography

Parents worried about their children seeing adult material will be able to log on to a web page and define their own content filters.

Sites containing pornography or online gambling can be blocked completely.

There will also be the option to put timed locks on certain websites, such as Facebook or game portals, to stop children viewing them when they should be doing school homework.

Similar PC-based systems have been criticised for their overly-broad filtering – often stopping young people accessing legitimate research sites.

TalkTalk said that its service would be able to tell the difference between sites that are wholly about a subject and ones that merely mentioned it.

For instance, parents who block sites that promote self harm might be happy for their children to see ones that educate about the issue.

Charlotte Nunes, a spokesperson for comparison site USwitch, called Home Safe was a “useful and well thought out freebie”.

“Controlling security centrally from the network rather than on each individual device should make it far simpler for households to protect themselves against unwanted content,” said Ms Nunes.

“The ‘homework time’ option is ingenious although not likely to be such a hit with the kids,” she added.
False positive

Some security experts have questioned the ability of TalkTalk’s system to protect against malware.

Rik Ferguson, senior security researcher at Trend Micro said that larger sites, frequently hit by threats, could present a problem.

He suggested that the 24-hour “all clear” white list might not work for services such as Facebook.

“The frequency with which we see rogue apps popping up on Facebook is much greater than one every 24 hours,” he said.

Mr Ferguson suggested that a useful addition would be to scan outbound internet traffic, to spot when infected PCs are sending spam or taking part in large-scale web attacks.

TalkTalk’s parental protection system would likely prove to be a small, but surmountable challenge to tech savvy teenagers, added Mr Ferguson.

He pointed out that many would resort to their mobiles in order to reach banned sites.

“There are a lot of ways around it,” he said. “That’s the big challenge for parents and security firms.”

TalkTalk’s spokesman insisted that its filters were not intended intended as a cure-all.

“This is the most robust system that’s available but what it’s not is a substitute for good parenting,” he said.

Radiation may increase long-term heart risks

Came across this interesting article about radiation therapy for women with breast cancer, i thought others may find the study informative.

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Women treated for breast cancer with radiation therapy are more likely to die from heart disease 20 years or more down the line than women who don’t get radiation, according to a new study.

Previous studies have suggested that radiation close to the heart can increase a woman’s risk of getting heart or blood vessel-related disease in the future – but little is known about how that risk plays out over multiple decades. The results are from women who received radiation in the 1980′s and earlier, when doses of radiation were significantly higher than those used today.

Radiation “is a very important part of therapy for many women,” Dr. Ronald Witteles, who studies heart disease at Stanford University and wrote an editorial accompanying the current study, told Reuters Health.

However, “we need to honestly look at the risks and take them into account when making treatment decisions,” he said.

The researchers, led by Dr. Kim Bouillon of the Gustave Roussy Institute in France, tracked 4,456 women who had been treated for breast cancer at the Institute between 1954 and 1984. About two-thirds of the women received radiation therapy during their treatment.

Using a national database of all deaths starting in 1972, the authors were able to determine which women had died – and of what – and which were still alive as of 2003. Because they were interested only in the long-term effects of radiation, the authors did not include in the study any women who died within 5 years of being treated.

In the 30 years following breast cancer treatment, women who had received radiation treatment were no more likely to die from heart disease or stroke than women who didn’t get radiation. By the end of the study period, between 5 and 6 percent of women in both groups had died of heart disease, and between 8 and 11 percent had died of any kind of heart disease or stroke.

However, when the researchers took into account the age at which women died, women who had been treated with radiation died from heart disease at between one and a half and two times the rate of women who hadn’t been treated with radiation. Age of death is important because the effects of radiation on the heart are thought to take 10 to 20 years to show up, in some cases.

In that same analysis, women who had been treated with radiation on their left breast – where it’s harder to avoid radiation to the heart – were more likely to die of heart disease than women who had radiation therapy on the right breast, 20 years after their treatment procedures.

Because of the nature of the study, the authors were not able to prove that radiation caused heart disease.

It’s possible that the cardiovascular effects of radiation will not be a problem for women being treated with radiation therapy in the present, as current radiation levels used in treatment are much lower than they were 30 years ago. But researchers won’t know the long-term consequences of radiation as it is used today for another couple of decades – making it difficult for doctors and patients alike to make informed treatment choices.

“One has to believe that the less radiation that is delivered to the heart, the less cardiovascular effect you’ll see,” Witteles said. But, he added, “Radiation injury to the heart simply doesn’t manifest itself as a problem until at least 10 years later.”

And radiation therapy may have very different impacts on different women, Witteles said. “There’s still great variation both in terms of what part of the heart is getting radiation and how radiation is being given individual to individual, because it depends a lot on their anatomy,” he said.

Based on that anatomy – such as the location of the tumor in relation to the heart – doctors who perform radiation usually have a pretty good idea of how much radiation the heart will be exposed to, Witteles said. That factor should be a part of treatment discussions between women and their doctors, he said.

If the risk of radiation to the heart is high, some women may choose to get a mastectomy, which doesn’t require radiation treatment.

“There is a common misconception that because of advancements in radiation techniques this is almost a non-issue,” Witteles said. However, even now, the possible risk to the heart “needs to be taken into account when deciding between different treatment options,” he said.
